The Vakaros ILCA/Laser Mount Gen2 features an innovative integrated quick release that provides a significantly higher level of holding power. The compression spring mechanism is cleverly concealed within a cavity to minimize any detrimental effects of salt water. This mount is equipped with a control line tunnel, enabling placement aft of the mast, as well as in front. To secure the mount to the deck, use the included 3M Dual Lock system. A state-of-the-art line safety tether and a small, lockable carabiner are also provided for added convenience and security. This mount is fully compatible with Protective Cases (which can be purchased separately and are highly recommended). An optional adapter (available for $50 USD) allows for quick and easy switching between an Atlas and a Micro Compass, with no tools required.
