The Spinlock XCS Rope Clutch for 6–10mm lines is the side-mount (horizontal) version of Spinlock's XCS clutch, built for mid- to higher-load rope holding. It takes lines from 6 to 10 mm (1/4–3/8 in), is optimised for 8–10 mm lines, and holds loads up to 700 kg (1,543 lb). Spinlock strongly recommends the XCS0610 for high-strength, small-diameter line.

Spinlock says side mounting is usually the neatest solution for spars, side decks and coamings, and recommends the XCS where the mounting position needs extra durability, such as on a mast, or where you want the finish to match your deck or rig.
