The Jonbuoy Recovery Module Mark 6, or JBRM6, is a comprehensive man overboard solution that enables the deployment of a device capable of locating, supporting, and recovering a MOB. It is widely accepted as a direct replacement for traditional safety equipment such as danbuoys, horseshoes, drogues, lights, and whistles, as specified in the World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations. Its design allows for a single latch release into the water, making it quick and easy to use. An optional remote release model is also available, allowing for deployment from a helm position, navigation station, or other desired location. Upon operation, the JBRM6 automatically inflates from its container, providing a highly visible and safe place for the casualty to await recovery. This design supports the casualty comfortably out of the water, minimizing the risk of hypothermia.
