The latest addition to Harken's loop block series for Grand-Prix racers, the V block is a remarkable innovation. By combining axial and thrust bearings into a single bearing set of V-shaped titanium rollers, Harken engineers have successfully simplified its mechanics. The resulting block is lightweight yet strong, providing unparalleled efficiency at high loads while also spinning freely at low loads for seamless easing in light air. Additionally, the block features aluminum sideplates, a titanium sheave, and captive titanium roller bearings. It is also easy to disassemble for inspection and maintenance. This particular block, the 8T Aluminum V™ Block (Part No. 3363AL), has a 104 mm sheave diameter (or 4 3/32 inches), a maximum line diameter of 18 mm (or 11/16 inches), and a maximum working load of 8000 kg (or 17600 lbs).
