Barton DO 550 Rope Clutch, Double

A double rope clutch for cruising and racing yachts. Moulded parts are strong, light, impact-resistant plastics, and the cams and bases are Spectro anodised aluminium for wear resistance. Stainless steel fairleads at entry and exit protect both clutch and line.

The true clutch mechanism lets the line be pulled through while closed with minimal slippage, and releases under load positively and with little effort, even with cold, wet hands. A removable insert on top of each handle can be swapped for a coloured, printed insert to mark its function (main, genoa, spinnaker and so on). Bolt-together construction makes servicing and part replacement easy.
