Barbados Sailing Week
January 15–21, 2027 · Barbados — hosted by the Barbados Cruising Club, Carlisle Bay
Barbados Sailing Week combines a coastal race series with the island’s signature offshore event, the Mount Gay Round Barbados Race, all run by the Barbados Cruising Club out of Carlisle Bay. Classes cover CSA Racing, CSA Cruising, J/24, multihull and non-CSA rated boats, so there’s a fleet for racers and cruisers alike (a valid CSA rating is required for CSA class entries and for the Round Barbados Race itself).

- Friday, January 15 — Skippers briefing, opening ceremony and party
- Saturday–Monday, January 16–18 — Coastal Race Series (3 days)
- Thursday, January 21 — The Mount Gay Round Barbados Race, followed by the Red Cap Party prizegiving
- Saturday, January 23 — Rum to Spice: an offshore race on to Carriacou, connecting with Grenada Sailing Week
The Mount Gay Round Barbados Race
Raced since 1936, this roughly 90-nautical-mile circumnavigation starts and finishes at the Barbados Cruising Club in Carlisle Bay. Boats reach up the calm West Coast past Holetown and Speightstown, round the northern tip into the full force of the Atlantic on the East Coast, then slide downwind along the South Coast through Rockley and Worthing back to the finish. The current record stands at 2 hours 37 minutes, set by a MOD70 multihull in 2016.
